Joel Matalon, founder of Joe Fitness World, has been a fitness trainer since 1989. He is a Master Chi Running™, Chi Walking™ instructor, certifying Master, and is the Director of Continuing Education at ChiLiving, Inc. He’s an ACE life and health coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor. He’s also an ISSA Youth Fitness coach, Spartan Race™ coach and Speedball Fitness™ coach. He uses highly communicative, person-to-person methodology to help clients reach their maximum performance. His clients include celebrities, executives, elite athletes, children, teens, stay-at-home moms, couples and busy individuals.
Joel is an Ironman™ triathlete, marathoner and rehab specialist. He is certified in:

Joel is on the faculty of The American Council on Exercise and provides continuing education for fitness and health professionals. He also leads lectures and trainings for corporations like ABC, ESPN, HBO and Adobe. He was the marathon coach/Creator of Team Lifebeat for Viacom/MTV’s non-profit. He also started Team GoRunners for Skechers and has been involved in other fundraising teams.
Joel is a community advocate and has served on the Board of Directors of Kids Helping Kids and the SharSheret Ironman Team (www.sharsheret.org). 10% of Joe Fitness World’s income goes to charitable organizations like the Benjamin Robert Williamson, Jr. Foundation, which raises funds for organizations that help inner city youth programs. Joel’s advocacy also benefits Save the Children, an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
